Old Fashioned

Origin
The Old Fashioned cocktail’s roots can be traced back to the early 1800s in America, where it originated as a simple “Whiskey Cocktail”. The drink consisted of whiskey, bitters, sugar, and water. The name “Old Fashioned” emerged later, possibly in the mid-1800s, as bartenders started experimenting with more elaborate cocktails, and customers who preferred the simpler version started requesting it in the “old-fashioned” way.
